Happy New Years & Thank You!

Happy 2017 you guys! I hope your New Years celebrations were nothing short of awesome! I am so thrilled to get this new year kicked off!!

In the spirit of shaking things up this year, I’ve got a little surprise for you all. Now, I don’t normally do this, but I have just been blown away by the support this community has shown me in 2016 so I wanted to show my appreciation by giving away one of my all time favorite things! A t-shirt with a little southern charm. 🙂

So here’s the thing, I was born and raised a southern girl and I enjoy every second of our silly southern quirks. Including, wearing t-shirts that display our love for the south. 🙂 Can I get a yeehaw? (Ok, that was a little cheesy! I won’t make you say that!)

I’ve partnered with Pig Trail Clothing, a local Northwest Arkansas clothing company, to give you a chance to win this adorable, “It’s a Southern Thing” tee. (com’on, does it get any cuter than that??!)

So here’s how to enter for a chance to win:

  1. Follow me @Candablair and @PigTrailClothing on Instagram
  2. Like the “It’s a Southern Thing” giveaway post on Instagram
  3. Tag your friends (on separate lines) in the Instagram comments for extra entries

The winner will be announced on January 15th, 2017 via Instagram!

**This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.**

You can find more t-shirt designs including some of my favorite Arkansas Razorback tees made by Pig Trail Clothing on their website or Instagram.

Thank you to every single one of you that have been a supporter, an encourager and my #1 fan along this sweet journey. I am forever grateful. Cheers to a new year ahead!

P.S. if you missed my New Year’s One Word Resolution post, I’d love if you hopped over to tell me what you think about this approach to 2017.

2017 One Word Resolution

2017 One Word Resolution

Just like every year, I sat down with my favorite notebook to begin listing out my New Year’s resolutions.  After just a few minutes, my list was unrealistically long and I discovered that there were many things on the list that kept returning year after year. (sigh) I also noticed that there was a common theme in each one. My list was made up of things I didn’t like about myself or where I found weakness. I wanted this year to be positive and less about who I was tired of being and more focused on how I could be the best me I could be and what that transformation process looked like. So I turned the page and wrote one word: Intentional.

I’m tossing the long list of changes and making 2017 my year to be Intentional.  The idea is that this word will serve as a theme in all aspects of my life.  I hope you will toss your list and join me in picking one word for your life this year. Who says we have to be boxed into that list of corrections for our life anyway?!

Since I am choosing Intentional, I wanted to briefly explain how this will play a role in a few key areas for me and then give you a few words to kick start the discovery of your own word.

Spiritually

First and foremost,  my journey with the Lord is the most important aspect of my life. Without his guidance, nothing is possible. This year, I want to be more intentional than I have ever been in order to deepen my relationship with the Lord.

Relational

I want my husband to know how head over heals in love I am with him every single day. I want my closest friends and family to feel valued. And I want those new people that come into my life over the next 365 days to know that I care about them.

Work Life

This is a big one for me. I juggle many different avenues of “work” in my life. My real 9-5, my favorite – blogging and my most challenging – photography. I want to strive to be as intentional as possible to continue to grow and develop with purpose in each of these areas of my life.

So there you have it. Call me crazy, but this one word will be my 2017 motto, my theme, my anthem, in everything I do. Now the fun part, creating something with that word on it to serve as a reminder to me every day for the next 365 days.

Are you thinking of joining me on this one word journey? If so, here are some other great words to consider for yourself.

  • Consistent
  • Balance
  • Simplicity
  • Disciplined
  • Progress
  • Joy

I am excited to hear what you choose! Tell me in the comments below.
