Intentional Time

It’s been too long, but I’m back! The past several months of our lives have been consumed with work, travel and most importantly wedding planning. Seriously, life has taken us by storm and honestly, we have been enjoying every single second of it.

But oh what we would do if we had an extra hour or two everyday to spend doing whatever we wanted instead of crossing things off of our wedding planning list. Taking intentional time out of each and every day to spend quality time with each other has been one of the biggest blessings for us (J and myself). During this quality time we may or may not have binge watched the whole 2nd season of Bloodline in less than a week or spent numerous weekends napping on the couch. Let me tell you, when you treat yourself to some down time, everything else will fall into place.

One of our favorite down time activities are working on projects. For me, the time spent outside or in the garage building or recreating something is the perfect therapy. Lately, I have been doing smaller DIY or furniture projects, but there’s this piece we have had in the house for several months now just waiting on a makeover and I am itching to get to work on it. I won’t spoil that surprise for you just yet. Check out my latest little makeover.

My Mom and I are always picking up cute pieces of furniture from yard sales and junk shops and we bring them home and hash out who gets to redo what. This little chair was just too darling not to take for my own project.

I repainted the chair with a medium grey paint and recovered the seat with a classy patterned fabric. It was the most simplest of projects, but oh so fun!

What projects are you all working on this summer? Comment below, I’d love to hear and maybe pick up a few tips and tricks.
