Instagram – gram: is today the most widely used unit of measurement

My life has been a whirlwind! Packing, moving, starting my new job, reuniting with friends and finding those sweet places for lunch dates, shopping and of course hot yoga. But no worries, I am still around πŸ™‚

Instagram is where you will find my day to day updates! Or a “gram” of my life. My username is Candablair. You will find that I post a variety of different photos throughout my week. Adventures, food, friends, cool things, fashion, etc…the list is endless.

Have you ever wondered where Instagram got it’s name? A “gram” is “the absolute weight of a volume of pure water equal to the cube of the hundredth part of a metre, and at the temperature of melting ice”[2] (later 4 Β°C), a gram is now defined as one one-thousandth of the SI base unit, the kilogram, or 1Γ—10βˆ’3 kg, which itself is defined as being equal to the mass of a physical prototype preserved by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures.” ///// SAY WHAT?

Ok…that can’t be right. Here is Forbes version: “A long week of searching for something that combined the β€˜right here right now’ aspect of what we were trying to accomplish with the idea of recording something in your life (hence the suffix -gram).” – CEO Kevin Systrom

Find me on Instagram! @Candablair. I am looking for a new inspiring Instafeed – Let’s see what’cha got!
