Be Fearlessly Authentic.
This seems to be a reoccurring theme in life right now. Be authentic. Be true to you. In a world where we are constantly comparing ourselves to others, being yourself can be hard. (Can I get an Amen?) Social media can make that even more of a challenge. How many times do you see someone post a photo of themselves having a bad hair day and frowning? Right – you don’t. People usually only post photos of themselves on their best days or even more so, they might choose something that they may not necessarily love, but they know their friends would.
Since wedding planning has consumed about 89% of my life these days, I often find myself getting caught up in the trendy wedding things instead of making solid decisions on the things that I love. I want our wedding to be styled in a way that shows our friends and family who we truly are because at the end of the day, if we choose something to make everyone else happy, we are forgetting about our own happiness in it all. We have one shot at this wedding thing and I am choosing to be fearlessly authentic. So guests, if you think my flowers clash with my linens, just know that my heart is content. My heart is content because those flowers are my absolute favorite and I probably got a great deal on those linens. (Woot Woot!)
With that being said, I hope you choose to be fearlessly authentic in all that you do. Be yourself because you are the absolute best version of YOU.
