Yes, you read that right! We are officially pregnant!
I surprised my sweet husband with the news right before our 1 year anniversary back in September. A week later we packed our bags to celebrate our anniversary and growing family in Montego Bay, Jamaica!
If you’ve noticed my absence here on the blog and over on IG – please forgive me as I’ve been hard at work growing our little baby boy!
This little guy has already changed our life in so many ways. Lots of time spent at home and early (very early) nights to bed. As of this week, we’ve officially finished up our 16th week so I thought I’d give you a little bump update on our Konrad Emerson!
Konrad popped out just in time for Christmas! Cue the belly rubs from all the aunts.
P.S. I snagged this cute tee from Old Navy last week for just $5! The count is on to see how long I will actually be able to wear it!
Here’s the full Bump Date Update for you!
How far along are you? 16 weeks!
What fruit are you? Avocado – P.S. I’m loving avocados right now!
Due Date? June 6th, 2018
Gender: It’s a BOY! We found out at our 15 week appointment and went in knowing exactly what we would name him. Konrad Emerson!
Total weight gain/loss: As of today, I’ve gained about 2 lbs.
Exercise: Ummm…what exercise? I’ve felt like death the entire 1st trimester, making it extremely hard to even think about gym time. Now that I’ve hit the 2nd trimester I’m starting to get my spunk back!
Stretch marks: I don’t have any yet! (fingers crossed) Lotioning early and often!
Swelling: No swelling just yet! Yay!
Maternity clothes: Give me all the maternity pants!! I’m still fitting into most of my regular tops, but my most loved jeans have been pushed to the back of my closet.
Belly button: Its still pretty normal as of now!
Sleep: Ok, I’m a sleeper…and this whole up at 3 am in the morning thing is not what I expected. I’m also waking up incredibly hungry!
Food cravings: Lots of salad, apples and peanut butter and as much chocolate milk as I can get! Baby boy already has a little belly on him!
Symptoms: Still finding myself SO tired in the afternoons, becoming more and more hungry and some aches and pains in the evenings.
Movement: I’ve been patiently waiting for some little kicks, but none that I can tell apart from gas just yet.
What I miss: I miss sushi and sleep!
What I’m loving: Watching my sweet husband get so excited about everything!
What I’m looking forward too: Seeing my husband’s face the first time he sees Konrad and baby snuggles.
Best moment this week: Watching my belly grow significantly.
Words of wisdom: This time in our lives is one of the most special and even when you are feeling like crap, remembering that it’s just a season will keep you moving forward. Also, not comparing someone else’s pregnancy to your own because everyone will experience different symptoms, sizes and feelings. Just do you and be nice to your husband!
